Career of Evil – Complete

Just finished reading Robert Galbraith’s Career of Evil.

I enjoyed it, much like the others in the series, although this one took me especially long to get through. Not that it wasn’t entertaining (it was). It had more to do with the craziness involved with picking up and moving halfway across the country.

The pacing was quicker than the first two (the first being the slowest) and I liked delving deeper into Strike’s background.

Galbraith’s favorite word: braying. Best description: a police officer’s face resembling corned beef. Yup.

If you like a good ol’ down-and-out detective novel, the Cormoran Strike series is great. Some sections are slow, but the writing makes up for it. Galbraith does an excellent job of plopping you down into the heart of London.

Not sure what book I’m going to pick up next.
